Who publishes this site
Online Human Exercise is a personal project. Its articles, calculators, and workout guides are published under the site's name rather than an individual author's byline.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help write the site's code — including the calculators, the 3D workout guides, and the training drills — and to help research and write the articles. AI can get things wrong, so everything is checked by the person who runs the site before it's published. That check isn't done by a doctor, registered dietitian, certified trainer, or other qualified health or fitness professional.
Sources
Articles and calculators are based on published research: systematic reviews and meta-analyses, position stands from professional bodies such as the American College of Sports Medicine, peer-reviewed studies, and guidance from health agencies such as the World Health Organization and the CDC. Every article and calculator lists its references at the end of the page, with a link to each source where one is available, so you can check them yourself.
Calculators
The calculators use standard published formulas, such as the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for the calories you burn at rest. Each calculator page shows the formula it uses and lists the sources behind it, labeled with what each one supports, and the math is checked against those sources. The results are estimates for healthy adults, not personal advice.
3D workout guides
The animated exercises are built from common coaching form rules — for example, elbows kept about 45–60° from the body at the bottom of a press, and knees that never cave in past the ankles in a squat. They're a visual guide to form, not a replacement for coaching from a qualified trainer.
Updates
We look over the site's content every three months and update anything that needs it — for example, when newer research changes a recommendation or a source moves. Each article shows the date it was published and, after a substantive change, the date it was last updated.
Corrections
If you find an error, please report it by email using the address on the Contact page, and include the page and what's wrong. That's the only way to report errors. We can't promise how quickly a fix will be made, but as soon as it is, the corrected version goes live on the site, and a corrected article shows its new updated date.
Advertising and independence
The site is free to use and is funded by ads served by Google AdSense — see the Privacy Policy for how they work. Advertisers don't choose, review, or pay for any of the content. We don't currently publish sponsored posts. We may add affiliate links in the future — links that earn the site a small commission if you buy something through them. If we do, they'll be clearly labeled, and this page will be updated.
Not medical advice
Everything on this site is for general education and wellness. It isn't medical advice and doesn't replace a doctor, dietitian, or qualified trainer. See the Disclaimer for details.
