DVD Bounce — Eye Training

Follow a single ball as it ricochets around the screen, classic-screensaver style, and read the number flashing inside it. Adjustable speed, size, and color.

What this trains

DVD Bounce is a smooth-pursuit eye tracking exercise — instead of jumping your gaze between fixed points, you follow one continuously moving target. Smooth pursuit is the same skill used in vision-therapy warm-ups and by athletes who need to track a moving ball, opponent, or object without losing focus.

How it works

A single ball bounces around the screen, classic screensaver-style. A number from 0–99 flashes inside it every half second, and reading that number as it moves keeps your eyes actively tracking rather than passively following.

How to use it

Press Start exercise to launch it full-screen. Use the controls panel to adjust speed, ball size, and color, and press Space at any time to pause or resume. Try to read each number as it appears without losing the ball's position.

Tips

Start at a slower speed and increase it as tracking feels easy. Keep your head still and let only your eyes move — that's what isolates the tracking muscles this exercise targets. Short, frequent sessions (2–5 minutes) tend to be more effective than long, infrequent ones.

This is a general-wellness focus and coordination exercise, not a clinical vision therapy tool or medical device — see the Disclaimer for details.
